0-19+ Partnership success stories

It’s been a busy year for the Partnership, and The Sheffield First Children and Young People’s 0-19+ Partnership has enjoyed a number of successes throughout 2009.

The 2009-11 Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) was developed and signed off, and a huge number of colleagues from across the Partnership were involved in supplying information, content, data and advice.  Partner organisations, agencies and services are now well under way with the delivery of the aims and ambitions set out in the CYPP.

A full evaluation of the development process is underway, and the Partnership intends to undertake an even better consultation process for developing the 2011-14 CYPP.  Work on this is due to start in April 2010.

A CYPP gateway portal has also been launched on the 0-19+ Partnership website, which contains an interactive version of the CYPP and other supporting strategies, plans, information and data sources that underpin the Partnership’s overall strategy.

Alongside the extensive work that took place on the CYPP, the Partnership drafted and agreed new governance arrangements. These new arrangements are designed to streamline the Partnership, strengthen its ability to make decisions and get things done quicker and more effectively. The Partnership began operating under these arrangements in September 2009. A number of representatives for new member organisations have now joined the 0-19+ Partnership Board, including Job Centre Plus and Sheffield Museums. The Partnership is also recruiting new voluntary, community and faith and private sector rep to the Board membership too.
