Developing a city-wide debt prevention action plan
Sheffield First Partnership, with the support of Insight Collective, is developing a Debt Prevention Action Plan in response to the current recession. The purpose of the Action Plan will be to complement existing services in the city by supporting more ‘preventative’ approaches – catching people before their debt becomes unmanageable or providing the information, skills and tools which can help them avoid unmanageable debt or move out of and stay out of unmanageable debt situations.
To ensure that a wide range of services participate and contribute to the Action Plan, SFP held an event on 4 September to to explore how we can work together to help the people of Sheffield to cope with the effects of this recession.
