Success for All

Together we can raise the Aspirations and Attainment of Sheffield's Children and Young People

Sheffield First Partnership, in collaboration with Sheffield City Council launched the Raising Aspirations and Attainment Strategy at the Success for All event on 27 January at the City Hall.

Hosted by Olympic silver medallist, Leon Taylor, this inspirational event:

  • Launched the city’s new collective commitment to raising aspirations and attainment.
  • Celebrated the range of contributions made by businesses and community organisations.
  • Heard how young people's lives have been influenced and their aspirations raised.
  • Invited and stimulated new ideas and activities.

The event was very well received with organisations being enthusiastic about what is being done to inspire ambition and encourage the hopes and dreams of Sheffield’s young people.

The city’s leading businesses, public sector organisations and community groups were invited to make a commitment of time, money or the way they deliver business to help more children and young people achieve.

In addition to pledges received so far, a total of 32 pledge cards were completed at the event.  11 were pledge commitments on behalf of organisations and 12 were commitments from individuals.  Nine cards were completed by representatives of organisations asking us to contact them to discuss what they can commit to.

Further information about the event is available on the downloadable flyer below.
